Who Are We
we are a driving entity for collaborative internetworking and for improving the quality of research and education at the local universities, research institutes, and technical colleges.
A member of the Ubuntunet Alliance, which is a regional association of National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) in Africa.
Our Vision
Our Objectives
- To undertake the national research and education network for Zimbabwe on behalf of Public and Private Universities, Research Institutes and other appropriate institutions
- To promote and safeguard the interests of its members in furtherance of their objectives
- To secure communication network services including but not limited to broadband inter-connectivity between participating institutions, and to other networks in Africa, and globally
- To undertake capacity building programmes aimed at promoting increased effectiveness in the utilization of information and communication technology
- To secure access to new technologies, services, capabilities and other value added services as may be developed from time to time
