Zimbabwe Research & Education Network

Transforming Education through Technological Innovation

The Zimbabwe Research and Education Network (ZIMREN) is expanding the coverage of its eduroam services. Eduroam enables users from participating institutions to securely access Wi-Fi networks using their home institution’s credentials (in email format) without needing separate login details. This service operates on a federated authentication system, where user credentials are verified by their home institution while granting access to network resources regulated by the visited institution.
